Abraham Eyman Turner
My father Thomas Randolph, died when I was 16, in 1908 at the age of 64. At this time my sister Margaret was 13, and my mother Iris was 51. To support my mother and sister I stopped attending school and took over farming to care for my Mother and sister.
I met Anna Lillian Coulson and were married when I was 24, March 25, 1916. Anna was 22.
After we were married we moved to Colorado to work in a Gold mine with my friend and neighbor Cecil Bosworth until Cecil had to have surgery for appendicitis. At this time my Mom came out and wanted us to return home and farm her farm.
In addition to caring for my family I also helped pay rent for my sister after her husband left her in Toledo Ohio. Later my sister could not afford to care for her children so we took in one daughter; Leota Osenbaugh, whom we cared for starting at age at a young age.
Lived with Grandfather Eyman and Grandmother after mother divorced father.
